SCOTS TRAIL ON US FUTURES TOUR

Heather Stirling from Bridge of Allan and Lisa (Hackney) Hall from Stoke were the leading British players at the end of a storm-hit first day in the Aurora Health Care Futures Classic at Ironwood Golf Club, Sussex in Wisconsin.
Two suspensions of play as severe weather passed over meant that 12 players had to finish their first rounds on the second day.
Heather (37-38) and Lisa (38-37) both had three-over-par 75s to be in the big group tied for 38th place behind leader Katie Bakken from Minneapolis. She set the pace with a 67 (32-35) for a two-stroke lead from Lisa Penske-Jensen (34-35) from Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Former Scottish amateur champion Linzi Morton from Alloa was tied for 68th after a 77 (40-37).
