ELGA NAME EMMA AND FAME FOR MIXED ENGLAND TEAM
THE English Ladies Golf Association have chosen their champion, Emma Duggleby (Malton & Norton), and another Curtis Cup player, Fame More (Chesterfield), to be their two representatives in the England mixed team of four to take part in The Spirit International, to be played at Whispering Pines Country Club near Houston from October 12 to 18.
The tournament is over four rounds of stroke-play so presumably the actual event will start on October 15.
Scotland's mixed team is champion Anne Laing (Vale of Leven), fellow Vagliano Trophy team player Clare Queen (Drumpellier) plus Walker Cup player Stuart Wilson (Forfar) and Andrew McArthur (Windyhill), the Scottish men's amateur champion of last year.
