CROSS PROVIDE OUTERWEAR TO GB&I CURTIS CUP TEAM
The Great Britain and Ireland Curtis Cup team will be attired in the most up-to-date outerwear from Cross, the Swedish based brand leader in golf clothing.
Each of the players, captain and vice captain has been provided with several items from the Active Sportswear series in waterproof and breathable laminated fabrics designed for maximum comfort and flexibility.
Andy Salmon, Chief Executive of the LGU, said: "We have aimed to kit-out our team in the best available clothes and are delighted that Cross are providing waterproofs, softshell bodywarmers and jackets. Everyone in the team is really pleased with the range of items that Cross has provided and are hoping to showcase the modern range of clothes with a win against the United States.
"Peter Blom, owner of Cross said: "For many years Cross has been one of the leading brands within golfwear, and is especially well known for lightweight rainsuits in full stretch FTX-laminate. These have been supplied to players in the GB&I Curtis Cup team and we are certain that our designs, aimed at a younger generation of golfers will add real style to their appearance in the match."
POINTS OF INTEREST
1. Cross products are sold in approximately 20 outlets outside Sweden.
2. Cross' ambition is to be a year-round supplier to sports retailers.
3. For Spring 2005 the entire golf collection has been updated and lead designer Thomas Nilsson has successfully
created a collection that feels both traditional and modernly sporty.
4. Peter Blom was one of the founders of the successful Peak Performance.
