Troon exile Susie Laing was lying in 14th position with one round to go in the Reno Classic - the latest event on the West Coast Ladies Golf Tour - at Wolf Run Golf Club in the United States.
The former Scotland amateur international player, who was at one time a golf scholarship student at San Francisco University, had rounds of 76 and 75 for a 36-hole tally of 151.Leader by three strokes on 140 was Natalie Tucker from Indiana with scores of 67 and 73.
Another US-based Scots female tour pro, Heather Stirling from Bridge of Allan, finished tied for 37th place in last week's Futures Tour event. Heather had rounds of 73, 75 and 73 for a final 54-hole total of 221. She earned $343.
Another past Scottish champion, Linzi Morton from Alloa did not play in that tournament but she is back in the field for this week's Futures Tour event while Heather takes the week off.
