RAIN DISRUPTS ST ANDREWS TOURNAMENTs
The match-play stages of the St Andrews Links Trust women's open tournaments for the Strathtyrum Trophy (scratch) and Strathtyrum Salver (handicap) have been cancelled following further disruption of the programme by rain.
The qualifiers for the match-play of both events will now take part in two 36-hole stroke-play tournaments. Their scores returned earlier in the week do not count for these new competitition.s
Both sets of qualifiers - scratch and handicap - will now play 18 holes' medal play on Thursday over the Eden Course and a further 18 holes' medal play on Friday over the Eden Course.
