STRONG US TEAM FOR ESPIRITO SANTO TROPHY
CURTIS CUP TRIO WILL START FAVOURITES
The United States Golf Association have named three of their Curtis Cup-winning team to represent the country in the women's world amateur team championship for the Espirito Santo Trophy at the Rio Mar Country Club, Rio Grande in Puerto Rico, starting on October 20.
With an average of 19 years, the American team is not only one of the youngest in the line-up, t they will also start favourites to win the title.
The three, all from California, are:
PAUL CREAMER from Pleasanton.
SARAH HUARTE of Shingle Springs.
JANE PARK of Rancho Cucamonga.
Creamer, Huarte and Park were all members of the U.S. Curtis Cup squad that won the 2004 Match at Formby Golf Club in Merseyside, England. Creamer and Park also teamed to win the 2003 Spirit International.
The four-day, stroke-play event will feature 51 teams from around the world,
