SARA BISHIP COMPLETES TITLE HAT-TRICK

Sara Bishop (Windyhill) completed a hat-trick of titles in the Dunbartonshire & Argyll women’s county golf championship on a very wet day at Cardross Golf Club today.
In a replay of the 2003 final Sara beat Gemma Webster (Hilton Park) by one hole after Gemma had come back from three down after 13 holes.
Sara and Gemma were the leading qualifiers for the match-play stages.
The last player to win the title three years in a row was Curtis Cup player Myra McKinlay in 1989-90-91.
The bronze division championship was won by the host club’s lady captain Patricia Johnson who beat clubmate Margaret Mason by one hole in the final.
