MIDLOTHIAN TITLE HAT-TRICK
FOR CLAIRE HARGAN

Claire Hargan (Mortonhall) won the Midlothian women’s county golf championship for the third year in a row at Ratho Park Golf Club today. She beat clubmate Jane Turner 5 and 4 in the final.
Claire, the No 2 seed, was three up at the turn, which she reached in 37 shots, having birdied the second.
Jane, who knocked out the top qualifier, Sally Watson (Elie & Earlsferry), earlier in the tournament, was let down by her putting in the final.
Sarah Devenish (Kingsknowe) won the Bronze championship, beating Helen Warnock (Harburn) by 4 and 3 in the final.
