FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD KELSEY WINS
TITLE IN RAIN AT INVERNESS
Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar) became one of the youngest winners on record of the Northern Counties women's championship at Inverness Golf Club today.
Only 14 years of age - but a member of the Scottish title-winning Northern Counties last year - Kelsey beat Marian Howieson (Inverness) by two holes in the final, played in a steady downpour.
Kelsey, one up on the 18th tee, birdied the last to clinch the title.
In the morning semi-finals, Miss MacDonald had a good win over the host club player, Kerri Harper.
