NORTHERN COUNTIES SEMI-FINALS

KELSEY v MARIAN IN FINAL AT INVERNESS

Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar), only 14 years of age, is through to the Northern Counties women's championship for the first time. She will play Marian Howieson (Inverness) in the 18-hole final this afternoon at Inverness Golf Club.
In this morning's semi-finals, Kelsey avenged a defeat in the championship last year by Kerri Harper (Inverness). Kelsey beat Kerri, a former Inverness women's club champion and an R&A Golf Bursar, by 2 and 1.
Beaten finalist last year, Jenny Milne was knocked out in the semi-finals this year by host club player Marian Howieson by 4 and 2.
