ENGLAND GIRLS IN JUNIOR SOLHEIM CUP TEAM
English girls champion Melissa Reid (Chevin) and Florentyna Parker (Royal Birkdale), beaten in the semi-finals of the British girls' championship last week, have received Captain’s pick places in the European Junior Solheim team of 12 to play the United States at Bridgewater Club, Carmel Indiana from September 5 to 7, prior to the Solheim Cup.
The first seven players in the Europe team have earned their places through high finishes in tournaments designated by the European Golf Association.
They are:
1 Carolota Ciganda (Spain), 2 Anna Nordqvist (Sweden), 3 Lene Krog (Norway), 4 Beatriz Recari (Spain), 5 Azahara Munoz (Spain), 6 Benedicte Toumpsin (Belgium), 3 Marta Silva (Spain).
Melissa Reid was joint 12th in the points table while Florentyna Parker was 25th.
The names of the other three "wild card" choices have yet to be released

England have named a strong team for the Home International matches at Dundalk, Ireland, from September 14-16.
The team, captained by Beverley New, is:

Laura Eastwood (Yelverton)
Naomi Edwards (Ganton)
Jodi Ewart (Catterick)
Felicity Johnson (Harborne)
Kiran Matharu (Cookridge Hall)
Kerry Smith (Waterlooville)
Sophie Walker (Kenwick Park)
1st Reserve: Rachel Bell (Ganton)
2nd Reserve: Faye Sanderson (Heworth)
