SENIOR WOMEN'S HOME INTERNATIONALS
SCOTLAND AND ENGLAND SHARE FOURSOMES
Scotland and England went into the decisive singles session on level terms on Day 2 of the Senior Women's Home Internationals at Radyr Golf Club, near Cardiff today.
Pamela Williamson and Fiona De Vries lost by 2 and 1 to Christine Quinn and Pat Wrightson but Moira Thomson and Liz Campbell beat Christine Watson and Geraldine Bray by one hole.
Moira and Liz won the first three holes but lost four, six and seven and were still all square after the 15th. The Scots won the 17th and held on to that narrow advantage at the last hole.
Wales won both their foursomes from Ireland.
Scotland skipper Pam Gordon has brought back Rose Anderson into the singles line-up while Scottish veterans' champion Moira Thomson gets a well-earned rest after her three wins out of three.
