ABERDEENSHIRE TEAM FOR CRIEFF

Aberdeenshire women’s golf team to compete against Angus, Northern Counties and Perth & Kinross in the Northern Division inter-county team championship at Crieff Golf Club from June 24 to 26 is:

Jill Harrison (Cruden Bay), Laura McLardy (Murcar Links), Laura Murray (Alford), Donna Pocock (Murcar Links), Katie Thomson (Kintore), Michele Thomson (McDonald Ellon), Carol Wilson (Murcar Links), Sheena Wood (Aberdeen Ladies).

Reserves: 1 Kim Moggach (Hazlehead), 2 Lynne Terry (Cruden Bay), 3 Sjavon Wilson (Murcar Links).

Linda Urquhart (Banchory) has retired from county golf after being a member of the Aberdeenshire team for 21 consecutive years.

“Linda’s contribution and wisdom will be greatly missed,” said Aberdeenshire county captain Ros Dunsmuir (Cruden Bay).

Julie Henderson (Inverurie), last year’s county champion and beaten finalist this year, declined selection along with Fiona Hay (Deeside) due to personal commitments.
