CLARINS LEINSTER LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP

Defending champion and Irish international Maria Dunne (Skerries) has safely made it through to the semi-finals of the CLARINS Leinster women's amateur golf championship at Grange Golf Club.

Dunne will face strongly fancied Curtis Cup hopeful Martina Gillen (Beaverstown) in the first semi-final.

Martina  beat Sinead Keane (Curragh) and Anne McCormack (Roscommon) on the 19th earlier today.

Dunne was pushed all the way to the 17th green by local favourite and recently crowned Irish senior champion Therese O'Reilly while O'Reilly herself had disposed of clubmate Sheena O'Brien Kenney on the home green in the morning.

Play continues at Grange Golf Club at 9am on Saturday morning with the final due to tee off at lunchtime.
