WELSH OPEN STROKE-PLAY HIT BY WEATHER

Friday's bad weather is nationwide. No play was possible today in the Welsh men's open amateur stroke-play championship at Southerdown Golf Club. The championship has been reduced from 72 to 54 holes with the cut being made after one round. Only the leading 36 players and ties will contest the final two rounds.
