MELDRUM HOUSE LOSING EXECUTIVE
FORMER SCOTLAND GOLF CAP EWAN TO
BE INVERNESS SECRETARY-MANAGER
Former Scotland amateur international golfer Ewan Forbes is to be the new secretary-manager at Inverness Golf Club. He suceeds Jocky Thomson who is retiring after a number of years in the post.
Forbes, originally from Grantown-on-Spey, played out of Turriff Golf Club in recent years and has been sales & marketing executive at the exclusive Meldrum House Golf Club at Oldmeldrum, Aberdeenshire.
He will take up his new post at Inverness at the start of next month.
Beverley Smth, operations manager at Meldrum House GC, said:
"Ewan worked hard to build bonds with members and to contribute to the everyday management of all aspects of the Meldrum House club. He will be familiar to most members for his twice weekly score updates, his ready and knowledgeable conversation about the game of golf at the clubhouse and the introduction of new members.
"Ewan is looking forward to new challenges at Inverness Golf Club and this is a great opportunity for him. I am sure I speak for the directors and the members when I wish him well in his new post."
