EUROPE STUDENTS BEAT AMERICANS
BY RECORD MARGIN AT PRESTWICK
 
EUROPE have scored the biggest win ever in the Palmer Cup international students' match against their United States counterparts over the Prestwick Golf Club links.
The final margin was 19 1/2pt to the Europeans (most of whom are students at American colleges) and only 4 1/2pt to the Americans.
Europe won all four sessions of play - four-balls, foursomes and two sets of singles.
In the final set of singles, the results were:

Martin bt Castro 3 and 2.
Floren lost to Blaum 4 and 2.
Haastrup bt Harman 5 and 3.
Caniz\ares bt Baca 1 hole,
Luiten bt Larsen 2 holes.
Lewton halved with Ogden.
Davies bt List 3 and 2.
Ramsay lost to Kirk 1 hole.
EUROPE 5 1/2, UNITED STATES 2 1/2
