SALLY WINS US GIRLS' QUALIFIER

 

 South Queensferry girl Sally Watson has won a sectional qualifying tournament at Braelinn Golf Club, Peachtree City in Georgia for next month’s United States girls’ championship.

Sally, who will be 15 on July 10, matched the par of 72 over the 6,200yd course, to claim one of the five spots available in this qualifier, one of 32 nationwide for the championship which will be played at Carmel Country Club, Charlotte in North Carolina from July 17 to 22.
