GRASS DISEASE HITS LA CANADA, TOURNAMENT

NOW TO BE PLAYED AT SAN ROQUE NO 2

NEXT week's European youths team championship has been switched from La Canada Golf Club to a neighbouring course on Spain's Costa del Sol. It will now be played on the San Roque No 2 course.

The reason given by the Spanish Federation is a "sudden disease" which has affected mainly the greens at holes one, two, four, six, seven and eight.

The tournament starts on Tuesday and finishes on Saturday.

Scotland will be defending the team title.
