GULF AIR INTERNATIONAL PRO-CAPT

ESPORTA DOUGALSTON PAIR

AGAIN WIN TRIP TO BAHRAIN

  

Esporta Dougalston Golf Club’s professional Craig Everett and captain Andrew McDowall today repeated their success of last year in the Gulf Air International Pro-Capt. Challenge, supported by BMW, Scottish qualifying round over the Crail Golfing Society’s Balcomie Links. 

Craig and his 20-handicap partner returned a net 58, 11 under par, to finish two shots clear of runners-up Uphall (Gordon Law and Douglas Tait) with Westhill (George Bruce and Dugald MacDonald) placed third on a card countback against Lochgelly, Gourock and Ballater who also totalled a net 63.

Craig Everett and Andrew McDowall will now represent the PGA Scottish Region in the International Final to be held at The Riffa Golf Club and Resort, Bahrain from October 13 to 18. Last year they finished fifth in the International Final.

Craig earned £425 for his part in this year’s triumph. Gordon Law (Uphall) earned £300 and George Bruce (£225.
