FRANCE LEAD FROM ENGLAND, GERMANY IN
EUROPEAN SENIORS TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
France (394) led from England and Germany, both 396, with Ireland (415) in eighth place at the end of the first qualifying round in the first European senior women’s team championship over the Royal Waterloo course near Brussels in Belgium today.
Claudine Chatrier (France) had the best individual score of two-over-par 74 – two shots ahead of Pat Wrightson (England), Anyta Remoleur (France), Karin Gumpert (Germany) and Viveka Hoff (Sweden).
The teams go on to match-play after Wednesday's second qualifyng round.
Scotland and Wales did not enter teams.
