CLARE 72, LYNN 77 IN FINNAIR MASTERS
Clare Queen had a one-over-par 72 and Lynn Kenny a 77 in the first round of the Finnair Masters tournament at Helsinki Golf Club, Finland today.
Clare deviated from par only three times in her round - bogeys at the long seventh and 15th and a birdie at the 17th in halves of 35 and 37. She is lying joint 27th.
Lynn had a birdie at the seventh, a double bogey at the short eighth and lots of bogeys on an inward half of 41. She is sharing 99th place in a field of 126 and needs to pull up her sock to survive the cut.
Inverness-based New Zealander Liz McKinnon is in joint 53rd place after a 74 which included a double bogey at the short third.
Elin Ohlsson (Sweden) set the pace with a four-under-par 67. She leads by one from Kris Lindstrom (US), Gwladys Nocera (France) and Virginie Lagoutte (France).
