ANTRIM GIRL EIGHTH IN FLORIDA EVENT
Charlene Reid from Antrim and Belfast’s Nikki Taggart – both golf scholarship students at Pfeiffer University, North Carolina finished eighth and 29th equal in the Bubba Watson Invitational women’s college tournament at Stonebrook Golf Club, Pace in Florida (this week).
Charlene scored 75 and 79 for 154 while Nikki had 88 and 77 for 165 in a field of 64 players.
Individual winner was Kim Ulander (Florida Southern) with 76 and 68 for 144, winning by two strokes from Sarah Nicholson (Western Florida) (73-73).
Pfeiffer (635) finished fifth in the team event behind winners Florida Southern (595).
