BECKY SEVENTH IN TREASURE COAST CLASSIC

Becky Dowell from Thornecombe, a sophomore student at Bethune-Cookman College, Florida, finished joint seventh in the Treasure Coast Women's Classic college tournament at Indian Hills Golf Club, Fort Pierce in Florida.
Becky, pictured right, had rounds of 78, 77 and 72 over the 5,922yd, par-71 course for a total fo 227.
Lauren Darnell (Stetson) won the title with 70, 71 and 71 for one-under-par 212.
Bethune-Cookman College (905) finished third in the team event won by Stetson University) (887) with St John's University (905) third.

DANIELLE OPENS WITH AN 80 IN TEXAS

Danielle McVeigh, from Kilkeel, Northern Ireland, a freshman student at the University of Texas A&M, had a first-round score of eight-over-par 80 in the Texas A&M Memorial women's college tournament over the 6,272yd Traditions Golf Club course at Bryan, Texas.
Danielle ran up a quadruple bogey 8 at the first hole in halves of 42 and 38.
Hannah Jun (UCLA) leads the field by two shots with a 70.

KEENAN LYING 53rd AT LAS VEGAS

Farren Keenan from Middlesex, a senior year student at the University of Texas, was sharing 53rd place on four-over-par 76 for the long Southern Highlands course (7,510yd) at the end of the first round of the Southern Highlands College Championship near Las Vegas, Nevada.
Keenan had double bogeys at the ninth and 10th and a single bogey at the first in halves of 38. His only birdie came at the third.
Martin Piller (Texas A&M) leads the field with a 67 - one ahead of Kevin Chappell (UCLA), Chris Kirk (Georgia) and Brendon Todd (Georgia).
UCLA (282) lead the team event from Georgia (285) and Georgia Tech (286). Texas are 13th of 15 on 298.
