Report from Thursday's matches:

MUNSTER v CONNACHT
Foursomes
Munster maintained their excellent form with two wins out of two against Connacht in the morning foursomes. Sarah Cunningham and Holli Snelling proved too strong against Kate Gallagher and Hannah O’Connor.
Connacht had a glimmer of hope at the 13th with Munster in the bunker but Munster recovered well and halved the hole in 5. The pair then went four up on the 14th to put the match out of reach.
Emma O’Driscoll and Diandra O’Connell birdied the seventh to go one up in their match against Carmel O’Connor and Sarah Helly and went on to win 4 and 3.
Singles
Sarah Cunningham and Kate Gallagher had a great match with Kate playing a superb shot over the machinery shed on the second hole to hit the flag and keep the match level at the early stages. However, Sarah won out in the end by the narrowest of margins.
Munster kept the ball rolling with Holli Snelling securing a 6 and 5 win over Hannah McInerney despite injuring her wrist early on in the round while Emma O’Driscoll dominated her match against Carmel O’Connor and came away with a 4 and 2 victory.
Connacht's Hannah O’Connor claimed a win with an excellent 6 and 5 score against Sarah Crowe. But there was a sting in Munster's tail with Laura McCarthy and Diandra O’Connell securing good wins over Sarah Helly and Julie O’Gara respectively.

LEINSTER v ULSTER
Foursomes
Impeccable short play by Ulster's Leona & Lisa Maguire earned them a very commendable 5&3 win over Louise Mernagh and Ciara Butler.
The Ulster and Connacht pairings of Victoria Bradshaw and Lucy Simpson with Ciara Walsh and Aedin Murphy produced a nail-biting finish to their foursomes match. Both teams had amazing birdies on the 17th to keep the game alive. A superb approach by Ciara Walsh gave Leinster a win on the 18th hole thus giving them a halved match.
Singles
Superb playing by Leinster's Louise Mernagh saw her on the 10th tee with a very convincing lead of 4 shots in her match against Victoria Bradshaw. Victoria reduced the lead to one hole by the 14th but Louise claimed the match on the 16th green with an excellent par.
Lisa Maguire gained control of her match against Ciara Walsh in the opening holes. By the 13th hole Lisa had scored four birdies and won the match 6&5 despite Ciara’s steady play.
After losing the first hole Lucy Simpson won the third and fourth holes against Aedin Murphy. Thereafter the game was one of nip and tuck until Lucy finally won the match 3 and 1 on the 17th green.
The tussle between Ciara Sharkey and Leona Magurie continued onto the 18th. The match was tense with Leona being dormie two. Then that was reduced to dormie one, though she finally won the match on the 18th.
The most enthralling match of the afternoon was between Niamh O’Connor and Caoimhe Quinn. Both girls played great golf and the match was finally halved.
Ciara Butler’s steady golf gave her a comfortable win of 6&4 over Sarah Louise Winter. Whilst both girls’ long game was extremely good it was Ciara’s short game that proved too much for Sarah Louise.
