ROSEANNE DOWN THE FIELD

IN BYU DIXIE CLASSIC

Scottish Under-18 girls' match-play champion Roseanne Niven from Crieff, pictured right, who enrolled at the University of California Berkeley only at the start of the year, finished joint 58th with a total of 240 (80-78-82) in the Brigham Young University Dixie Classic at Entrada at Snow Canyon Golf Club.

Alison Walsh (Arizona) was the two-stroke winner with scores of 74, 73 and 67 for two-under-par 214.

Brigham Young (878) won the team event easily from Texas Christian (894) and Denver (897). California (934) finished 11th of 16 teams.
