Perthshire prospect Carly Booth, 15 years old next month, is the only British or Irish player in the field for the Skandia Junior Lady Open tournament over 54 holes at Bastad Golf Club, Sweden, beginning on Friday.
Last year Miss Booth played for Europe in the Junior Ryder Cup match at Celtic Manor.
The Skandia Junior Lady Open is a qualifier for places in the Ping Junior Solheim Cup team to play the United States girls at the same venue on September 11 and 12.
Scottish boys’ champion Paul Ferrier (Baberton), William Bremner (Edzell), Andrew Campbell (Dumbarton) and Paul Shields (Kirkhill) are competing in the Skandia Junior Open at Falkenberg Golf Club near Gothenburg, also over three rounds from Friday to Sunday inclusive.
