GOLF PUNK MAGAZINE SPONSORSHIP
OF LADIES ENGLISH OPEN AGREED

Seminal golf magazine Golf Punk has agreed a sponsorship with the Leaderboard Group for July’s Chart Hills Ladies English Open.
The innovative publication sees ladies’ golf as one of the fastest-growing facets of the sport and is keen to aid its growth by helping to bring it to a new audience.
The Chart Hills Ladies English Open, in association with Golf Punk will be played at the Biddenden course from July 5-7 and former world number one Laura Davies (pictured right) is one of the big names set to appear.
Rod Park, general manager of Chart Hills GC, said: “We’re delighted to announce Golf Punk as an associate sponsor. It’s a distinctive, vibrant brand which fits perfectly with the image we’re trying to promote for ladies’ golf and the LEO.
“Ladies’ golf doesn’t get anywhere near as much exposure as the men’s game which is a shame, as the average amateur golfer, can relate a great deal better to the lady professionals than the top male professionals – and this is our chance, with Golf Punk, to take it to a new audience.”
Those sentiments were echoed by Alexandra Armas, executive director of the Ladies European Tour. She added: “The partnership between Golf Punk and the Ladies English Open is great news. Golf Punk has been a trend-setting magazine and will give the Ladies English Open an ideal vehicle to communicate the message of this fantastic event.”
Golf Punk’s managing director, Allan Harrison, added: “We’re proud to be involved with the Chart Hills Ladies English Open. Every year it is one of the biggest sporting events in the south-east and has showcased some of the continent’s finest talents.
“People don’t give ladies’ golf the credit it deserves, but at Golf Punk we look at things a bit differently and want to help continue the fine work the Leaderboard Group has been involved in the past three years.”
