LOUISE EDGES OUT ALISON TO TAKE
STIRLING & CLACKMANNAN TOP SEEDING

Falkirk teenager Louise MacGregor – she has her 18th birthday on Sunday – edged out former Curtis Cup star Alison Davidson (Stirling) to take the No 1 seed position in the Stirling & Clackmannan women’s county golf championship qualifying round at Alloa Golf Club this evening.
Louise and Alison both hit the 75 mark – three over the CSS but only two over par. In the card countback, Louise had the better inward half.
County captain Elaine Allison (Stirling) was the third best of the 16 qualifiers for the match-play stages with a 76.
Dr Sheila Hartley (Braehead), secretary of the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association, qualified in 10th position with an 82, the same score as defending champion Linda Allan (Falkirk Tryst)
