THREE OF TOP FIVE US COLLEGE PLAYERS
WILL BE IN "BRITISH" FIELD NEXT MONTH

Three of the top five rated players on the American women's college circuit will be playing in the British women's open amateur championship at Alwoodley Golf Club, near Leeds next month.
They are No 2 Anna Nordqvist (Arizona State), pictured right, from Eskilstuna, Sweden - a former British girls' champion and beaten by Spain's Belen Mozo in last year's British women's final at Royal County Down; No 3 Caroline Westrup (Florida State), who also comes from Sweden, and No 5 Sandra Gal (Florida) from Germany.
In all, 11 of the top 50 will be in the field at Alwoodley, including Belen Mozo, the defending champion.
Jodi Ewart (New Mexico) from Yorkshire is the top-ranked British and Irish player in the No 20 spot at the end of her freshman year.
Tara Delaney (Kent State) from Carlow is ranked 44th.
In the following list, those who have entered the "British" are highlighted in red print:
