TITLE-HOLDERS ALLOA AND BRAEHEAD SERVE
UP BOYS’ LEAGUE THRILLER AT SCHAWPARK

By HUGH HUNTER

The Clackmannanshire County Junior League started on Sunday with the usual inter-club matches. It is played six-a-side (three scratch matches and three handicap matches) on a home-and-away basis.
Title holders Alloa took on Braehead at Schawpark and the match proved to be a thriller, ending in a 3-3 draw with several close games.
At Dollar, the home team had a fairly easy win over Tillicoultry, after taking the first four ties.
The third match between Alva and Tulliallan did not take place unfortunately due to the present lack of junior players at Tulliallan. Hopefully this will be remedied during the season.
