VIKKI ONE OVER PAR IN WISCONSIN
Vikki Laing from Musselburgh was in joint 15th place on one-over-par 73 when lightning and storm conditions ended the first day’s play at 6.10pm in the Auroa Health Care Championship, the latest event on the US Futures Tour, at Geneva National Golf Club, Wisconsin.
Vikk was out in 38 and home in 35 over the par-72, 6,406yd Arnold Palmer-designed course.
Polly Willett from London had a 76 (39-37) and Natasha Morgan, an amateur from South Wales and a student at Lynn University, Boca Raton, Florida had a 79 (39-40).
Swedish player Caroline Larsson set the pace on 69 (36-33), one ahead of compatriot Sofie Andersson (34-36) and Katrina Leckovic from British Columbia (35-35).
