VIKKI'S FORM DIPS IN US FUTURES TOUR MAJOR:
JT 61st EARNS SCOT ONLY $645

Vikki Laing from Musselburgh finished a disappointing joint 61st in the Michelob Ultra Players’ Championship – the only 72-hole major touornament on the US Futures Tour – at Hickory Point Golf Club, Decatur in Illinois.
The Scot had been playing consistently well going into the event but her form dipped with scores of 71, 75, 72 and 76 for a six-over-par total of 294 for which she earned $645.
South Wales amateur Natasha Morgan, a student at Lynn University, Boca Raton in Florida, finished joint 50th on 292.
The title and top cash prize of $14,700 went to Emily Bastel from Ohio. She beat Onnarin Sattayanabanphot from Bangkok with a birdie at the second hole of a sudden death play-off after they had tied on 10-under-par 278.
