East of Scotland Girls Championship

The holder, Jane Turner (Mortonhall), was first into the semifinals of the East of Scotland Girls Championship today when she beat Judy Shields of Dunblane New by 7&6. She plays Susan Jackson (Ladybank) who had a marathon tie in comparison when she beat Gillian Simpson (Murrayfield) at the 20th.
On the other side of the draw, Gabrielle Macdonald (Prestonfield) won by 8&6 against Jennifer Sinclair (Elie and Earlsferry), and she meets Cara Easton who beat Isobel Hinds (Liberton) by 6&5.
The Semifinals start at Mortonhall at 8:15 am on Tuesday.
