GILLIAN IS GALLOWAY GOLF CHAMPION
BY ONE STROKE FROM TRACY

Gillian Monteith (Portpatrick Dunskey), pictured left, regained the Galloway women's county golf championship at Stranraer Golf Club with rounds of 77 and 78 for 155.
She had a shot to spare over Stranraer's Tracy Milligan, who had a pair of 78s over her home course.
Defending champion Addi Shamash (Kirkcudbright) finished third on 166 with scores of 89 and 77.
There was a good measure of consolation for Tracy Milligan when she won the Rennie Salver for the best net score in the first round. Tracy had a 72 off six to win by two strokes from Stranraer clubmate A Smith, playing off 10.
Vikki Wright (Stranraer) won the Junior Trophy with a net 77 off 19.
