LAURA MURRAY, CLAIRE-MARIE CARLTON
SHARE UNIVERSITIES' LEAD IN ENGLAND

Two Scots - Robert Gordon University student Laura Murray and Stirling University's Claire-Marie Carlton - share the lead with England's Chloe Rogers (Bucks Chilterns University) with one round to go in the British universities' women's stroke-play championship over sodden course at Slaley Hall Golf Club, Hexham in Northumberland.
Laura from Alford, Aberdeenshire had rounds of 82 and 76 for 158 while Claire-Marie's scores were 81 and 77.
Claire-Marie almost had a hole in one at the short sixth where a brand new Aston Martin was on offer for an ace by competitors in a different competition, the Princes Trust Championship, also being played over the course today.
Edinburgh University student Emma Fairnie is in fifth place on 161 after rounds of 85 and 76.
Ireland's Rachel Cassidy is the second Stirling student in the small field who have all qualified regionally to get to this final of the championship. Rachel, a member at The Island club, is on 164 with scores of 80 and 84.
