MAURA MORRIN WINS CURRAGH
SCRATCH CUP BY ONE FROM
DANIELLE AND NIAMI

By SINEAD KEANE
Maura Morrin, pictured right, returned great scores of 72 and 74 to finish with a total of two over par 146 to capture first place in Sunday's Curragh Scratch Cup, sponsored by the Bank of Ireland.
She was just one shot clear of Danielle McVeigh who finished second on a countback from defending champion Niamh Kitching.
Kitching had shot a final round of one under 71. However, she very sportingly called a two-shot penalty on herself for incorrectly dropping out of gound under repair on the 13th hole.
