If you've not been following events on www.kirkwoodgolf.co.uk, you won't know that last week we ran a story about Annika Sorenstam who said at a Press Conference on the eve of the US Women's Open that she was looking forward to playing in the Women's British Open over the Old Course, St Andrews and hoped that a sign she recalled from the last time she was at St Andrews - in the late 1980s for two St Rule Trophy events - "No Dogs or Women Allowed" was no longer visible.
No-one can remember such a sign, certainly not on this side of the Atlantic. One viewer suggested that Annika's memory was playing tricks on her and that the sign had been on display at Elie.
Which has brought the following response:

'NO DOGS OR WOMEN ALLOWED' SIGN NOT AT ELIE

Just to clarify the situation on your post dated July 2 there is NO sign at Elie stating "No Dogs or Women Allowed."
Could you please post this reponse or remove the offending post. We actually cater for all women from beginners through to international ladies' teams.
Our shop is well known for its ladies' clothing and we specialize in ladies' custom-fit golf equipment.
Many thanks.
