SCOTS GIRLS BEAT FINLAND WITH THEIR
BEST DISPLAY OF WEEK IN OSLO

Scotland scored their first success of the European girls' team golf championship at Oslo Golf Club, Norway today when they beat Finland 4-1 in a Second Flight match.
The Scots took a 2-0 lead in the foursomes with wins by 2 and 1 for Carly Booth (Comrie) and Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar) and by 6 and 4 for Krystle Caithness (St Regulus) and Sally Watson (Elie & Earlsferry).
Kelsey lost the first singles tie by 2 and 1 but Sally (3 and 1) and Krystle (4 and 3) wrapped up up Scotland's best performance of the week.
Now the Scots girls conclude the championship by playing Austria for 13th place place in the final standings.
England, also in the Second Flight, beat Italy 3-2 and will play the Czech Republic (3-2 winners over Ireland) for ninth place.
In the championship flight, Saturday's final will be between the Netherlands and Sweden.
