DOUBLE WHAMMIES BY LOUISE AND BERYL
IN COUNTY OPENING MEET AT HADDINGTON

Louise Macgregor (Falkirk) and Beryl Morris (Dunbar) scored double victories at the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association county open meeting at Haddington Golf Club today.
Louise won both the Silver Division's Challenge Cups for best scratch and best net scores. She had a gross 76 and a net 72.
Noreen Fenton (Merchants of Edinburgh) was runner-up in the scratch and won the G M H Muirhead Tankard for a 77.
Lynn Joss (Newmachar) was second to Louise in the net returns with a 72 (better inward half) off 15 of a handicap.
Beryl Morris won the Nisbett Cup (best scratch) and the Challenge Cup (best net) in the Bronze Division. She had a gross score od 103 and a net score of 79 off 24.
