EMILY MAKES SUCCESSFUL DEFENCE OF
MARY McCALLAY TROPHY AT D & G

Auchterarder’s Emily Ogilvy won the Mary McCallay Trophy 36-hole SLGA Order of Merit tournament for the second year in a row at Dumfries & Galloway Golf Club today.
With scores of 67 and 73 for 140 – against the CSS of 71 for both rounds – Emily won by one stroke from the fast-finishing Scottish champion Jenna Wilson (Strathaven).
Jenna had scores of 74 and 67.
Emily lost to Jenna in the final of the Scottish championship at Kilmarnock Barassie in May.
Emma also finished one shot ahead of Jenna in last year's tournament.
Former Scottish universities champion and twice Angus country title-winner, Anne Ramsay (Kirriemuir) finished third on 145 with scores of 72 and 73.
The only downside of the 2007 Mary McCallay Trophy tournament was the size of the field - only 15 players. An SLGA Order of Merit 36-hole event deserves better support than that, don't you think?
