VIKKI LAING TURNS TO DRAWING, READING

There are thousands of ways to work on the mechanics of golf, but what do golf pros do when they want to improve their creativity on the golf course?
VIKKI LAING of Musselburgh, Scotland said she felt she needed to do something to get out of her swing-focused rut, so she recently took out her sketchpad and started drawing.
She also began reading the book, "Life Is So Good," about a 98-year-old man who learned to read when given the chance.
"My whole focus has been to be more creative because I've become too mechanical," said Vikki. "When you're working so hard trying to get better, you can get obsessed with it instead of just hitting the ball where you want it to go and finding creative ways to get it in the hole."
