STRONG SCOTLAND GIRLS' LINE-UP START
TITLE DEFENCE AGAINST IRELAND

On paper, Scotland's Under-18s line-up in the girls' home international matches at Southerndown Golf Club, South Wales looks just about as strong as last year when they dominated the three days of match-play and were impressive winners of the title.
It is an indication of the quality of the Scots line-up that their lead-off pair in tomorrow morning's foursomes against Ireland is made up of Vagliano Trophy player Krystle Caithness (St Regulus) and Sally Watson (Elie & Earlsferry) who played all four days of the Ricoh Women's British Open at St Andrews.
Scotland's second pairing brings together again Carly Booth (Comrie) and Megan Briggs (Kilmacolm) who contested the recent Scottish Under-18 girls' match-play final at Peterhead.
Carly won that title and the Scottish Under-21 stroke-play before completing a magnificent treble in winning the European Young Masters' girls championship in France.
Kelsey MacDonald (Nairn Dunbar) and Roseanne Niven (Crieff), two girls who have had their share of honours over the last two or three years, complete the Scots foursomes line-up and go in against the talented Irish twins, Lisa and Leona Maguire.

Opening foursomes ties:
