SCOTLAND SCHOOLBOYS BEAT ENGLAND FOR
FIRST TIME IN 17 YEARS!

By HUGH HUNTER

Scotland won the annual schoolboys golf international match against England at Westerwood Hotel & Golf Resort by a comfortable 3pt margin – 10 ½-7 ½.
It was the first time since 1990 at Hillside that the Scots had beaten the English.
Scotland established a 2pt lunchtime lead by taking the foursomes 4-2 and then they just had the edge in the singles, 6 1/-5 ½.
Earlier in the day, at the same venue, Scotland lost to England in the schoolgirls’ international 6-3 after leading 2-1 in the foursomes.
