STEPHANIE MEADOW FINISHES JOINT
THIRD IN MEXICO

Royal Portrush junior member Stephanie Meadow recently finished joint third in the Mayakoba Junior Classic at El Camaleon GC, Cancun in Mexico.
Stephanie, a student at the International Golf Academy, Hilton Head in South Carolina, had rounds of 73, 75 and 72 for a total of 220 over the par-71, 6,047yd course.
Winner was Pearl Jin (only 12 years, 4 months) from California with 71, 71 and 67 for 209.
Second was Alicia Malagon from Mexico with 70, 72 and 71 for 213.
Joint third with Stephanie was Erynne Lee from Washington State with 74, 74 and 72.
This performance gives Stephanie full exemption status for the forthcoming American Junior Association tournaments.
She has also been invited to play in the Golfweek Junior Invitational on the New course at Grand Cypress resort, Orlando in Florida from October 26 to 28.
Stephanie Meadow lost to Tara Delaney in the final of the Irish Under-18 girls championship in 2004.
She won the Nick Faldo Junior Series Grand Final girls' title in 2006.
