JANE TURNER joins the bright, young
prospects in the field for the
HACIENDA del ALAMO WOMEN'S
WINTER FESTIVAL in SPAIN

Mortonhall’s bright young prospect Jane Turner is the latest addition to the growing, quality field for the inaugural Hacienda del Alamo Women’s Winter Festival at the five-star Murcia resort on Spain’s Costa Calida from February 10 to 23.
Introduced to the game by her father as a 10-year-old, Jane is now coached by SLGA national coach Kevin Craggs.
Jane, who had her 18th birthday in September, has had a super 2007 season. Some of the highlights have been:
+Member of Scotland team who retained the girls’ home internationals’ title at Southerndown.
+Member of Scotland schoolgirls’ team against English schoolgirls and had a hole in one in the morning foursomes at Westerwood.
+Named by SLGA in National B Squad for 2007-2008 training.
+Member of Midlothian team who won the Scottish women’s county team championship at Tulliallan.
+Winner of inaugural Scottish girls’ champion of champions’ title at Kingsbarns.
+Winner of East of Scotland women’s championship at The Glen.
+Winner of East of Scotland girls’ title for past three years.
+Winner of Midlothian girls’ championship in 2006 and 2007.
+Close third in SLGA champion of champions’ tournament at Glasgow Gailes.

Who can enter the Hacienda del Alamo Women's Winter Festival?

Open to Lady professionals and Lady amateurs (maximum handicap 9).

No minimum or maximum age.

Separate prize lists for professionals and amateurs.

If we get enough entries, the amateurs section will include prizes for girls and seniors.

No competition entry fees to be paid until you check in with Tournament Controller Colin Farquharson at the Tournament Desk at Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort.

HOW TO ENTER

You must E-mail your entry to colin@scottishgolfview.com, giving name, state whether amateur or professional, name home golf club and handicap if an amateur, give date of birth if under 20 years.

There is no deadline for entries but there is room for only 60 to 70 competitors because of the restricted daylight hours in mid-February. It will be first come, first served, and a waiting list will be opened if necessary

THINGS TO REMEMBER

Budget airline flight charges go up as time passes. They seldom come down.

Accommodation at Hacienda del Alamo Golf Resort is not unlimited. It is cheaper to share a villa so try to organise something with your golfing friends.
