JOANNE MORLEY ONLY BRITISH QUALIFIER
AT LPGA FINAL Q SCHOOL

Only Joanne Morley from Sale in Cheshire of the British players competing in the LPGA Tour Final Qualifying School at Daytona Beach, Florida survived the fourth round cut which reduced the field to the precise number of 70 qualifiers with 72-hole tallies of six-over-par 294 or better.
They go on to contest the fifth and final round on Sunday when the leading 17 will gain fully exempt players' cards for the 2008 LPGA Tour. The next 35, depending on their finish, will gain conditional status.
Joanne hit form after earlier rounds of 76, 76 and 73 with a fourth-round 69 which lifted her up to the safety mark of 294 with nothing to spare.
Bedford's Samantha Head, who had started the tournament so well, had her best round of the four - a par 72 - but, with a total of 295, she failed by one shot to beat the cut.
Vikki Laing too hit form too late. She had a two-under-par 70 today for 297.
Kiran Matharu signed off with a 77 for 305, a great disappointment for one of the bright young rookies on the LET scene.
