East of Scotland Girls Autumn Meeting

Jennifer Sinclair (Elie and Earlsferry) won the top scratch prize in the East of Scotland Girls Autumn Meeting today at Falkirk Carmuirs in blustery conditions with an 84. Alison Goodwin (Glenbervie) won the first handicap prize with 89 less 19 net 70 from her older sister Helen who had 91 less 13 net 78. The CSS and SSS were 73. 11 girls took part.

L to R in the photo above: Helen Goodwin (Glenbervie), Alison Goodwin (Glenbervie), Jennifer Sinclair (Elie and Earlsferry) and Irene Collins.

This was the last event for Irene as she is retiring as Secretary / Treasurer of the East of Scotland Girls Golf Association. I'm sure all the girls (and old girls!) will join with me in thanking Irene for all the hard work she has put into the Association over the last four years. Mandy Easton (Dalmahoy) will be taking over Irene's post and Margaret McPherson (Baberton) will be taking over from me as Chairman. We have a great group of girls in the East Division and I am sure the Association will grow from strength to strength. Good luck to everyone involved!
