BECKY AND FERN JT 19th AND 22nd

IN NORTH-SOUTH COLLEGIATE

Bethune-Cookman College team-mates Becky Dowell from Thornecombe and Fern Grimshaw from Dorset, both in their final year at the Daytona Beach university finished joint 19th and joint 22nd in a field of 69 for the North-South Women's Collegiate tournament at Jacksonville Beach Golf Club, Jacksonville in Florida.

Becky, pictured right, scored 80 and 78 for a total of 158 over the par-72, 5821yd course.

Fern had a pair of 80s for 160.

BCC team-mate Kimberley Wong won the individual title by six shots with a pair of 73s for two-over-par 146.

Evansville University (620) won the team title ahead of Jackson State Univesity (625) with Bethune-Cookman College (631) third of 12 teams.
