CURTIS CUP GIRLS JODI AND KRYSTLE
TRAILING IN UCF CHALLENGE

Curtis Cup selections Jodi Ewart (New Mexico University) and Krystle Caithness (Georgia University) were joint 32nd and joint 46th in a field of 96 players at the end of the first round of the UCF Challenge women's college tournament at Red Tail Golf Club, Sorrento in Florida.
Over a par-72 course of 6,356yd, Jodi had a 73 and Krystle a 74.
Yorkshire's Jodi, starting at the 10th, birdied the 17th but bogeyed the second, fifth and sixth.
Krystle, from Cellardyke, Fife, bogeyed the eighth, 10th and 18th and had one birdie, at the long 17th.
Rebecca Watson (Tennessee University), whose younger sister Sally has been chosen to play for GB&I against the United States in the match over the Old Course at the end of May, had an 81 to be joint 88th. She had double bogeys at the 10th and 15th.
US Curtis Cup team leading members Amanda Blumenherst (Duke University) and Stacy Lewis (Arkansas University) are lying in joint fourth and joint ninth positions behind first-round leader Alison Whitaker (Duke).
Amanda had a three-under-par 69 and Stacy a 70.
